Well I think it would be true to say...Thanks Vince

Well I think it would be true to say that officers of this period and later had a lot of liberty in their dress code to model personal items tailored to a regimental look and Light Infantry officer even more so. There is certainly a tradition of light infantry officers to sport light cavalry dress as a way of distinguishing their elite and light status from the line troops which was a tradition carried on into a later period by the Light Division among the officers of the 95th Rifles, 43rd and 52nd Light Infantry who certainly wore dolmans. I don't think it would have been surprising to see Ranger officers initiating a similar fashion in a previous era.carojonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11826580638291659193noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2591229843590982581.post-76108325616462398262016-02-09T09:06:03.019-08:002016-02-09T09:06:03.019-08:00Nice JJ.

Major Rogers was one of those special inspirational warrior leaders who epitomises the special forces characteristics and I am pleased to see he is still held in high regard by the modern US Rangers - just as it should be.

Cheers
JJcarojonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11826580638291659193noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2591229843590982581.post-42059675776765235772016-02-06T15:43:24.658-08:002016-02-06T15:43:24.658-08:00Fantastic work!!Fantastic work!!A.P.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04557979425409883713noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2591229843590982581.post-91127382359830772072016-02-06T12:50:02.565-08:002016-02-06T12:50:02.565-08:00Have you read War on the Run.Have you read War on the Run.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2591229843590982581.post-63918858619066820342016-02-06T11:43:51.616-08:002016-02-06T11:43:51.616-08:00John, they're 'Galloping Major'John, they're 'Galloping Major'
Steve Mnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2591229843590982581.post-82248273328879332192016-02-06T08:36:53.438-08:002016-02-06T08:36:53.438-08:00Gorgeous, simply gorgeous!Gorgeous, simply gorgeous!Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08913029478686087197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2591229843590982581.post-4591221477578133462016-02-06T07:53:46.268-08:002016-02-06T07:53:46.268-08:00Nice Rangers!
