These creatures can be very aggressive and multiple stings have proven fatal in some cases, especially as these chaps unlike bees can keep on stinging after the first jab. Found 3 hornets / wasp about that s...Nice pictures! Found 3 hornets / wasp about that size digging holes in the ground around my kids basketball hoop. Very odd for us over here in West Va to have hornets like that, certainly not native and they were slightly mean creatures. The holes were a good inch in diameter.
