Thank you for your comment, I am really ...Hi Adam.
Thank you for your comment, I am really pleased that you have the "bug". Many years ago a chap called Peter Gilder had the same effect on my hobby and I have had so much fun ever since, so I am really excited by others getting caught up in this ridiculous past time of collecting, painting and playing with toy soldiers.
Yes I have been thinking about the 28mm painting as both Tom and I have been swapping ideas about the adaptions we have made to our styles to accommodate the larger figures. The technique is basically the same but with ever increasing areas of flesh involved and more expressions on faces you find yourself playing with shades and washes.
Tom and I will put something together, but it might appear in a wargames magazine first off with follow up posts here on the blog. I will be putting up some pictures of some 28mm FIW redcoats that I'm doing for a friend which will show what I like to do with that scale.

A very Happy New Year to you and yours

JJcarojonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11826580638291659193noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2591229843590982581.post-31277340091402423592015-01-03T01:27:11.368-08:002015-01-03T01:27:11.368-08:00Thanks Jonathan. Now you know where I got the idea from!

Happy New Year
JJcarojonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11826580638291659193noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2591229843590982581.post-7662475751602876522015-01-03T01:25:00.431-08:002015-01-03T01:25:00.431-08:00Happy New Year jj

Well in the end I think we all feed of each other in the wargame blogosphere as I get totatally inspired by those Grand Manner 28mm productions you do and picture the same with all the Peninsula toys on the table. So when you see the Talavera table set up, you'll know whose games I've had in mind whilst putting that lot together.
Cheers Mate
JJcarojonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11826580638291659193noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2591229843590982581.post-64212227147456706732015-01-01T18:58:35.705-08:002015-01-01T18:58:35.705-08:00Jonathan, 2014 has seen my painting of 18mm and 2...Jonathan, 2014 has seen my painting of 18mm and 28mm figures reach a level I could never have imagined and it is due to you through the tutorials you provided. Your work is amazing and your posts are always fun to read and inspiring. I'd like to see a tutorial on how you and/or your son paint 28mm figures if it is different from your 18mm. I use your 18mm technique with my 28mm naps and it looks really good but if there is a "better" way I'd like to see it.

All the best to you in this new year.

AdamA.P.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04557979425409883713noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2591229843590982581.post-8996629844899350702015-01-01T17:14:01.363-08:002015-01-01T17:14:01.363-08:00Your epic Oporto project definitely caught and hel...Your epic Oporto project definitely caught and held my attention throughout the year.
Masterful work, for sure!

Happy New Year!Jonathan Freitaghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07862373894196924886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2591229843590982581.post-57876136868927640492015-01-01T11:43:54.560-08:002015-01-01T11:43:54.560-08:00HAPPY NEW YEAR!

In fact we should do more Peninsular stuff full-stop!
Have a great year JJ - jj warpaintjjhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08997436342156047352noreply@blogger.com
