My disappointment on visiting last month, having first stayed there 5 years ago, is that so little has changed. The area outside the immediate building is a mess - full of builders' rubbish - and the uncontrolled vegetation completely obscures the architectural beauty of the complex. Almeida shows what can be done with judicious use of a lawnmower!
