My Neighbor Wellington Blog - Peninsular War Links
I make no apology for drawing to your attention again to Sara Seydak's blog.

Sara has published three posts with links to great Peninsular War free historical book downloads. Some of them will be familiar to you, I am sure, but there are titles that I hadn't seen, an example of which is illustrated above taken from "Campaigns of his Grace the Duke of Wellington - 1823" by G. Cumberland.
The beautiful illustration shows a makeshift bridge of boats allowing British troops to cross the Tagus in 1812 prior to the siege of Badajoz.
For the Peninsular War gamer this kind of detail is really useful when you next come to putting out a pontoon set up on your table.
Numerous accounts talk about Wellington's problem with crossing rivers in the early stages of the war until he got a proper bridging train and this illustration shows the impromptu skill of the few engineers he had with the army.
This book in particular contains other excellent period illustrations and was new to me.
So if you haven't already, take some time to check out Sara's blog
